Summer Vacation Review 2

We had a good visit with our friends, then headed on down to the beach for the rest of the week. We got to stay with my dad his wife, and meet up with some old friends from the karate school too. But first we had to do manual labor! We tore off a wood deck that John had built several years ago at dads house. It was worse for wear and without the grandkids living nearby, dad decided he didn’t need the extra space and they wanted grass or plants in that area. So we spent a day and a half working on that, then headed over to our old house and hauled off a truckload of old lumber and tarps and pool parts that the tenants had requested removed. Finally it was time to hit the water, so off to the state park we went for a great day of boogie boarding and sand play.

***still shamelessly begging for red/black/white scraps for a lap blanket that matches our new school colors

I like your mom journal here–what a nice way to document your family’s life.

(I never have red or black scraps either! What is up with those colors? I guess I just don’t buy them. I tend to always choose orange or pink over red. And always gray, not black. Weird.)

Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting! We just don’t live near family and I think it is a nice way to keep them up to speed on whats going on around here.
The red and black thing, definately not my pick, it’s the school colors here where we moved to, and my daughter made the freshman cheerleading squad so I will have a lot of football and soccer games to sit through. I wanted to make a lap blanket but my budget is a little tight for buying all new stuff so I thought I would try to beg a little for some scraps to put something together.
