Pastor opened today with a call to worship from Psalm:100 (NIV)

1 Shout for joy to the Lord , all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his
and not we ourselves;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

This week the EPIC adventure continues with a deeper look at how we worship. Pastor reminded us that EPIC is not a tangible thing that can be summed up in a few words, it is a desire and attitude to experience all that God has in plan for us this year.

We reviewed our thoughts on worship from last week, and asking What is Worship/ Is is what we see in the Scriptures? Is it what we will experience in Heaven? Is it a set of habits we repeat week after week?
Reading from 1 Corinthians 10:31: So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Worship is honoring one who is worthy due to a rank or position above us.

Revelation 4:9-11 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:
“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.”

Worship is declaring that God is worthy. It is giving God our affection and devotion. Honoring God with our whole heart. Our coming together on Sundays should be a celebration together of worship. We should drop our baggage of the week at the door, and enter with a heart passionate for worship.
